Meal Prices

Breakfast and Lunch is provided free to all Diboll ISD students for the 2024-2025 school year.

STUDENTS:

Students must select all of the required items to qualify for free meals. Any individual items selected will be charged at the a la carte price. Please see below for what constitutes a free meal under USDA regulations. 

Components offered daily for lunch: Grains, Meat/Meat Alternate, Vegetable, Fruit, Milk

  • Required to select 3 components for lunch: A student must select 1/2 cup of fruit or vegetable and at least 2 additional components of the student's choice. A student may choose to take all 5 components offered. 
  • Ex: A student selects a cheeseburger basket with fries. The student has selected meat, grain and vegetable. This student's meal would be free.

Components offered daily for breakfast: Grains, Fruit, Milk

  • Required to select 3 food items for breakfast: 1/2 cup of fruit and at least 2 additional food items.
  • Ex: A student selects a Blueberry Muffin and Banana. The student has selected a 2 oz muffin that counts as 2 food items and a fruit. This student's meal would be free.

All Diboll ISD cashiers are trained to encourage students to select all of the required meal components to receive a free meal.

A la carte and snack items are available for purchase during meal service times and vary in price.
Your child must have a positive balance on their account to be able to purchase these items. There is a no charge policy for snack and al la carte items.  You can send cash or check (payable to Diboll ISD Child Nutrition) with your child each day in an envelope with the child's name and cafeteria wrote on the envelope.  This will be forwarded to the cafeteria and posted to your child's lunch account. Junior High and High School students can pay at the register. Please see links below for a full list of snacks offered with pricing and DISD charge policy. 

EMPLOYEES AND VISITORS:

Diboll ISD employee and visitor pricing is $3.50 for breakfast and $5.00 for lunch. This price structure is in effect as of August 14, 2024. Adult meal pricing is set according to USDA Regulations of Paid Lunch Equity. Please see links below for additional information on charge policy.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
