Diboll ISD

The mission of the Diboll ISD Library Materials Policy is to provide equitable access to high-quality,
developmentally appropriate library resources that support student achievement, encourage a lifelong love of
reading, and reflect the diverse voices and experiences of our community. Through transparent processes,
collaboration with stakeholders, and adherence to legal and ethical standards, we aim to uphold intellectual
freedom while fostering a safe and enriching learning environment for all students.

Our vision is to cultivate inclusive, dynamic, and future-ready library collections that empower students to think
critically, explore knowledge independently, and engage respectfully with ideas across a wide spectrum of
viewpoints. We envision school libraries as trusted hubs of learning where parents, educators, and librarians
partner to ensure every student has access to meaningful, relevant, and inspiring materials.
